Monkeys... From Socks..

Okay. I know that her eye is wonky-looking. It's a defect in the stamp and I am sending her to the manufacturer Monday for replacement. But I couldn't just stamp her and NOT color her. I desperately need some more colors for skin, to make it less washed out. And another series of browns would add some depth as well. BUT THIS STAMP. So adorable. I cannot get over it. I completely love sock monkeys, if for no reason other than their whimsy, which I strongly insist that they possess. The fact that this stamp exists is the most wonderful thing in the craft world that I have experienced thus far. I don't care how ridiculously extreme that may be to say.. it's true for me! ;)  As soon as her stand-in with both eyes in-tact is in my paws, I will commence the creation of many cards. And I have just the park bench to sit her on, too!

It's been a good day! I exercised my body, then I exercised my Copics, popdots, stamps, rhinestones, cardstock, and paper trimmer! Just a four-pack of cute Birthday Cards for today. Enjoy!

FrankenCrafty

These cards are a little simpler than I would like, and a little larger than I prefer, but overall they got the message across in a fun, cute way! The main event was of course the Copics. I am completely out of my orange inks now and hope to eventually get some refills for them! I'm reallllly superglad that I picked up this Pirate Marci stamp last year to keep Pumpkin Marci company! Here are the colored images:

So stinkin' adorable!! And here's the twelve cards they took center stage on:

As I said, pretty basic, but twelve mailboxes will hopefully be delighted this year!

Keep scrappin', cutting, coloring, stamping... creating!

Easter's Coming!

It's once again time for another holiday treat for Sawyer's preschool class! It's been a good long while since I've sat down to make something-Christmas, maybe? These little hamburger boxes are kind of a pain to glue up but they are soooo adorable! Standard plastic Easter eggs fit really nicely inside, as you can see. Also, kinda broke my die cut machine when the cutting mat rolled up inside of it, so getting all of them cut was somewhat of an adventure last night. Gotta save my pennies though, cuz the new machine comes out this Spring!
Anyhow, here's a couple snapshots of this Easter's class gift for Sawyer's friends!

Another StampyLand Challenge Card

The challenge for November was to NOT use black ink and NOT color the images with Copics (or other markers). So, we were asked to use colored inks instead! I used the only other ink colors that I own, and I think it turned out pretty cute and simple. I stamped the card in a shimmery white, as well as a piece of green "scrapstock" with the word JOY. I then used a green and a light tan ink pad to stamp the Christmas tree image. I added a little Stickle action after diecutting the green sentiment and image with Nesting Lace Ovals from Lifestyle Crafts.

Here ya go, Momma!

Here are pictures of some commissioned Christmas cards I just finished up. These gave me a great opportunity to use my Copics! A little twine and some pop-dots, along with a few stamps made for quick work of these custom cards.
